About

What is Camps Farthest Out?

The Association of Camps Farthest Out (CFO) is a Christ-centered retreat for the whole family! It’s an adventure in finding the wholeness of life in Jesus, as well as a time of uniting Christians of all denominations for prayer, growth, and healing.

CFO is an international movement, begun in 1930 by Glenn Clark, to make the redeeming love of Jesus real and vital in the lives of all who participate. It is an opportunity to come away for a week to receive a renewal spiritually, mentally, and physically.

You are invited to come away and know the Father, walk with Jesus, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

What is worship like?

Worship is the heart and soul of CFO that many look forward to all year! We may express our praise and worship through song, dance, flags, banners, art, music, singing, and however the Spirit leads. People have experienced miracles during worship and many more experience life changing encounters with Jesus during this precious and intimate time . The worship leader and team is nominated each year by our Council Ring, so you may see the same team or a different one each year. You can expect to be enveloped by the presence of our King. Bring your expectancy and you will not be disappointed.

What are the Morning and Evening Talks?

Each year we have two speakers that alternate between the morning and evening talk. They are also nominated and carefully selected by our Council Ring. Again, they may be a familiar face from previous years or they may be new to our camp. You can expect God to move through their words to teach, encourage, and challenge you.

Rhythms

Rhythms is a time of being led in movement and music to connect with God that includes the whole family. You can expect everything from active, high energy movement and songs to instrumental music and meditatively soaking in God’s presence. You can expect to meet Jesus, have breakthroughs in your life and maybe even get a little sweaty

Creatives

Creatives are workshop where you create something in response to God’s work in your life. We may have dance, art, writing, yoga, sports and many more. Adult and youth can choose from about 5-7 creatives that are different each year. Choose one for the whole week or go to a different one each day. You can expect a powerful movement of the Spirit as you surrender to God and create!

Free Time

Free time is a great time for family! You can enjoy the beautiful nature of the Lake Yale campus, swim in the outdoor pool, use the basketball or volleyball courts, and participate in the different activities taking place. There is the Children’s Olympics which is a ton of fun and a little friendly competition. We also have an infamous Adult vs. Youth Volleyball game which involves a comical theatrical “challenge” and “counter challenge”  created by the respective teams. This is a fun, but sometimes not so friendly, competition that everyone loves!

Special Services

Need even more corporate worship? On Tuesday and Thursday evenings we hold an extended worship time where there is usually more prophetic worship and times of prayer. On Thursday, after the talk, we also have corporate communion. This service is redesigned each year but it is always powerful and full of reverence for our King. On Wednesday there is a Healing and Blessing service after the evening talk. Teams of gifted and anointed campers pray using anointing oil and the laying on of hands for physical and emotional healing for individuals and families (James 5:13-15). This is an intimate and powerful service where the captives are set free, Jesus wipes away every tear, and the blind see! The testimonies of Christ’s faithfulness and goodness overflow from this service. We have seen MANY people receive healing from Jesus. Do you need His healing touch?
